FLN Program Requirements

As a member of the Flames Leadership Network, you’re part of a supportive community dedicated to your success at UIC! To stay active in the program and maintain your scholarship, please complete the following each semester:
  • Take 15 credit hours per semester (or 30 credit hours for the full academic year)
  • Stay in good academic standing
  • Meet with your FLN coach at least twice each semester – we’re here to support your goals and help you thrive.
  • Attend 4 UIC events – at least one must be an ACE-sponsored event.
    You’ll report the events you attend through the event tracking form.
  • Complete your Mid-semester Reflection Survey.

In return, students will receive:

  • A $300 award for tuition support per semester
  • Work on campus. The FLN will help you find a job—up to 20 hours per week.
  • Access to a transition coach to help you in your first year on campus!
  • Opportunities to connect with other students who are here to succeed!
