FLN Program Requirements
As a member of the Flames Leadership Network, you’re part of a supportive community dedicated to your success at UIC! To stay active in the program and maintain your scholarship, please complete the following each semester:
- Take 15 credit hours per semester (or 30 credit hours for the full academic year)
- Stay in good academic standing
- Meet with your FLN coach at least twice each semester – we’re here to support your goals and help you thrive.
- Attend 4 UIC events – at least one must be an ACE-sponsored event.
You’ll report the events you attend through your Monthly Reflection. - Complete your Monthly Reflection
- A short reflection form will be sent to your UIC email on the first Monday of each month
- The due date will be included in the email
- This is your space to share how things are going and which events you’ve attended. It helps us support you better!
In return, students will receive:
- A $300 award for tuition support per semester
- Work on campus. The FLN will help you find a job—up to 20 hours per week.
- Access to a transition coach to help you in your first year on campus!
- Opportunities to connect with other students who are here to succeed!
